About the Red House
The Red House is a house with a Swahili-Arabic flavor, built around a courtyard with a large tropical fishpond an alfresco dining/living area. A unique feature of the design is the “outdoor” bathrooms
Courtyard
The house has a courtyard with a huge pond, which shows up as an aquarium with hundreds of tropical fish in the living room through glass walls which is great for kids. Beside the beauty, it also cools the house and reduces the presence of mosquitos.
Outdoor Bathroom
The Joy of an outside open bathroom.
A unique feature of the design is the outdoor bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a bathroom ensuite. Experiencing a bath or shower in the open is a treat; the mixture of cool raindrops and warm shower waterdrops is a sensation on its own.
There’s nothing quite like washing outdoors, surrounded by nature. Whether it’s the fresh morning air or a cool evening breeze, the experience is both refreshing and peaceful.
An outdoor bathroom allows you to reconnect with nature, turning a simple wash into a soothing ritual. With the sounds of birds and the warmth of the sun, it’s a moment of pure relaxation that leaves you feeling refreshed and recharged.
Sleep
The five bedrooms are airy and all equipped with cupboards, musquito nets and fans. Two bedrooms are ensuite with a lovely private outdoor bathroom, while the other three also share an private outside open-air bathroom. Bedlinnen and toiletries are also provided.
